We are currently looking for a Montessori Toddler Assistant teacher to join our teaching team for the 2022–2023 school year.
Applicant should have experience working with young children ages 15 mo–3 years, and some general understanding of Montessori philosophy and curriculum. A College degree in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred. Montessori trainees welcome! Hours are generally 8:15am to 5:15pm, five days a week. Promptness and dependability are a must. Our Toddler classrooms are mixed-age grouping between the ages of 15 and 36 months.
The Assistant Teacher is an important position on a two-member teaching team in a Toddler setting. He/she helps to ensure that the classroom environment is prepared; helps with transitions to Circle, lunch, recess, and rest/nap; and is an active contributor in teacher-led classroom meetings and faculty meetings, while also playing an important role in supporting each student’s academic and social/emotional growth.

The Lead Teacher is an important position on a two-member teaching team in a Primary setting. He/she helps to ensure that the classroom environment is prepared; leads lessons, communicates with parents and is a reflection of the Charlotte Montessori mission. Most importantly, this person is integral to our students’ academic and social/emotional growth.
